The story behind it

The maker

Founded in 1991 by winemaker Greg Failing, Woodchuck Hard Cider helped revitalize the historic American tradition of hard cider production. From humble beginnings in a Vermont garage, it grew into one of the country's most respected and beloved craft cideries.

How it is made

Woodchuck Hard Cider started in a two-car garage in Proctorsville, Vermont, in 1991, making it one of the true pioneers of the American craft cider movement. They continue to ferment and bottle their award-winning recipes in Middlebury, Vermont, utilizing local apple varieties.
