The story behind it

The maker

Co-founded by third-generation tequilero Carlos Camarena and the late industry legend Tomas Estes in 2008, Tequila Ocho was born from a passion to prove that terroir exists in agave. By harvesting only over-ripe agaves from single estates, they revolutionized the category with vintage-designated expressions.

How it is made

Tequila Ocho is crafted at Destilería La Alteña in the Highlands of Jalisco, utilizing traditional brick ovens and copper pot stills. Each vintage is single-estate, showcasing the unique microclimate and soil of a specifically harvested rancho.
