Stella Rosa was created by the Riboli family of San Antonio Winery, which was founded in Los Angeles in 1917. Looking to satisfy a growing demand for sweet, low-alcohol wines, they imported this traditional Italian frizzante style, transforming Stella Rosa into a leading imported wine brand in America.
Crafted in the Piedmont region of Italy, this wine is made from select grapes capturing the natural carbonation during a low-temperature fermentation. The winemakers purposefully arrest the fermentation process early to retain a naturally low alcohol level and high residual sweetness.
