Castello Banfi was founded in 1978 by the Italian-American brothers John and Harry Mariani, who aimed to establish a state-of-the-art winery in Montalcino, Italy. Working alongside legendary enologist Ezio Rivella, they pioneered clonal research of Sangiovese and helped elevate the global reputation of Tuscan wines.
Crafted at the historic Castello Banfi estate in the southern hills of Tuscany, this single-estate wine benefits from the region's warm days and cool nights. Cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks preserves the fresh, primary fruit aromas and natural acidity of the Pinot Grigio grape.
