The story behind it

The maker

William Grant & Sons founded the brand in 2005 to challenge traditional Scotch conventions and create a high-quality whisky designed specifically for cocktails. Originally a blend of Glenfiddich, Balvenie, and Kininvie single malts, it remains a beloved staple among bartenders worldwide.

How it is made

Monkey Shoulder is produced by William Grant & Sons in the legendary Speyside region of Scotland. The whisky is named as an affectionate tribute to the maltmen who suffered a temporary shoulder strain from turning barley by hand.
