The story behind it

The maker

Founded in Canale by Giacomo Vico in 1890, the estate quickly gained a reputation for exporting premium Piedmontese wines across Europe. After a period of dormancy, the founder's descendants revived the historic winery, modernizing the cellar while preserving traditional winemaking practices.

How it is made

The Giacomo Vico winery & vineyard has been cultivating native grapes in the Roero and Langhe hills of Piedmont since the late 19th century. Their Barbera d'Alba is crafted to emphasize the pure, vibrant fruit character and structural acidity typical of the region's clay-limestone soils.
