The story behind it

The maker

Del Maguey was founded in 1995 by artist Ron Cooper, who introduced the world to single-village artisanal mezcal. By partnering with local Zapotec producing families in Oaxaca and Puebla, the brand preserves ancient cultural heritage while supporting sustainable micro-economies.

How it is made

This expression is crafted at a state-of-the-art artisanal distillery in Axocopan, Puebla, utilizing local volcanic water. The agave Espadín is roasted underground, naturally fermented, and twice-distilled in copper stills.
