The story behind it
Citizen Cider was founded in 2012 by Justin Heilenbach, Bryan Holmes, and Kris Nelson with the mission to bring cider back to the people. By working directly with local orchardists, they grew from a small basement operation into a leading Northeast craft cider house championing authentic agriculture.
Crafted in the heart of Burlington, Vermont, using 100% locally sourced apples pressed at the brewery. The cider makers creatively co-ferment their signature apple blend with real blueberries to achieve its distinct fruit character and color.
