The story behind it
Founded by visionary winemaker Rui Roboredo Madeira in the rugged, high-altitude border region of Portugal. Driven by a passion to showcase the cold mountain terroir, he created Beyra as one of Portugal's pioneering altitude wines, focusing on native grape varieties.
Crafted from hand-picked indigenous grapes grown in the granite and quartz soils of the Beira Interior region. The high altitude of these mountain vineyards, averaging 700 meters above sea level, gives this wine its trademark freshness and crispness.
