The story behind it

The maker

Banhez is owned and operated by the Union de Productores de Agave de Ejutla, a co-op of families dedicated to sustainable farming and preserving traditional mezcal production. Founded in Oaxaca, the cooperative ensures fair wages and community reinvestment for its small-holder mezcaleros.

How it is made

This Mezcal Artesanal is produced by a cooperative of families in the Ejutla district of Oaxaca, Mexico. Traditional earthen pit ovens, volcanic stone milling, and copper alembic stills are used to craft this expressive spirit.
