The story behind it
Founded in 1870 by the Guedes family in Penafiel, Portugal, Aveleda has spent over 150 years as a pioneer in the Vinho Verde region. Combining estate tradition with modern winemaking techniques, the family has made Aveleda the largest exporter of Vinho Verde in the world.
Crafted in the Minho region of northern Portugal by a winery & vineyard renowned for perfecting the traditional Vinho Verde style. The cool coastal climate yields grapes with naturally high acidity and low sugars, resulting in a light, bright, and low-alcohol profile.
