The story behind it
Originally enjoyed primarily by local surfers along the Pacific coast of Mexico, Pacifico gained international popularity when California surfers discovered it in the 1970s and began importing it. Today, it is produced by Grupo Modelo and remains synonymous with sun, surf, and outdoor adventure.
Pacifico was first brewed in 1900 in the port city of Mazatlán by German immigrants who founded Cervecería del Pacífico. The brewery quickly became a local icon, capturing the spirit of the Baja coast.
