The maker
Established in 1875 by James Moir, Glenglassaugh was revived in 2008 after decades of silence. Located where the land meets the sea in Portsoy, Banffshire, the distillery has earned a reputation for producing single malts that harmoniously balance sweet tropical fruit and coastal saltiness.
How it is made
Glenglassaugh Distillery is nestled on the crescent beach of Sandend Bay in the Highlands, where the coastal winds deeply influence the maturing spirit. The Portsoy expression is crafted by Master Blender Rachel Barrie, capturing the rugged, peated character of the historic harbor town.
