The story behind it
Founded in 1972 by Harvey Firestone, a member of the iconic tire family, the estate helped pioneer commercial winemaking in Santa Barbara. The Foley family acquired the winery in 2007, continuing the Firestone legacy of producing expressive, terroir-driven estate wines.
Established in Santa Barbara County, Firestone Vineyard was the first major estate winery in the Santa Ynez Valley. The region's cool coastal breezes and gravelly soils provide the perfect microclimate for cultivating high-quality, aromatic Riesling grapes.
