WhistlePig was founded in 2007 when a band of whiskey enthusiasts purchased a historic 150-year-old farm in Shoreham, Vermont. Guided by legendary late Master Distiller Dave Pickerell, they set out to champion rye whiskey and establish a true farm-to-bottle distilling operation.
This expression is aged for fifteen years before completing its maturation in custom-charred barrels made from Vermont White Oak harvested right on the distillery estate. The tight grain of this northern wood imparts distinct depth and exceptionally rich oak compounds during the finishing process.
