The Spencer Brewery was founded in 2013 by the Trappist monks of St. Joseph's Abbey to support their monastic life and charitable works. By combining centuries-old monastic brewing traditions with contemporary American craft beer culture, they established a historic bridge between European heritage and local ingredients.
Brewed by the monks of St. Joseph's Abbey in Spencer, Massachusetts, this beer represents the first certified Trappist brewery established in the United States. Every batch was crafted within the abbey's walls using traditional copper kettles and water from the estate's protected wells.
