Founded in 1948 by Radhakrishna Jagdale, Amrut initially produced local spirits before pioneering the Indian single malt whisky category in the early 2000s. Led by the Jagdale family, this visionary distillery made history by launching India's first single malt in Glasgow, Scotland, in 2004.
Amrut Indian Single Malt is distilled at the Amrut Distillery in Bangalore, Karnataka. The tropical high-altitude maturation causes the spirit to age much faster than in cooler climates, resulting in a remarkably concentrated and mature flavor profile.
