Down the Road Beer Co. was founded by Donovan Bailey in Massachusetts, beginning as a contract brand before opening its own taproom in Everett in 2017. The brewery gained a strong local following for its whimsically themed craft beers inspired by folklore and mythology before closing its doors in 2019.

Crafted in Everett, Massachusetts, Down the Road Beer Co. focused on brewing fresh, local beers inspired by regional folklore and traditional brewing methods. Pukwudgie is named after the elusive, magical forest-dwelling creatures of Algonquian mythology.
