Founded in 1830 by Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill, Talisker has survived fires, financial crises, and remote island isolation to become one of Scotland's most respected single malts. Today, it stands as the oldest operating distillery on the Isle of Skye, celebrated worldwide for its signature sweet-and-smoky, pepper-forward flavor profile.
The Talisker Distillery was established on the remote shores of Loch Harport, where the coastal elements heavily influence the spirit during maturation. The maritime winds and damp sea air infuse the casks with a distinct, briny complexity that defines the classic Skye character.
