The story behind it
The maker
Founded in 2014 by Ian McCulloch and James Shelter, Silent Pool Distillers was born out of a desire to create a classic, artisan gin reflecting the romantic landscape of Surrey. Their passion for quality and local sourcing led them to incorporate 24 hand-selected botanicals, including honey sourced from neighboring hives.
How it is made
Distilled on the Albury Estate in the Surrey Hills next to the mythical Silent Pool, a spring-fed lake steeped in local folklore. The distillery utilizes a unique vintage wood-fired steam boiler to power its copper pot stills, capturing the essence of the English countryside.
