The story behind it
The maker
Founded in 1820 by grocer John Walker, the brand began by blending malt whiskies in his shop to achieve a level of consistency previously unseen. His son Alexander and grandson Alexander II later expanded the brand globally, introducing the iconic square bottle and slanting label that remain world-famous today.
How it is made
The legendary house of Johnnie Walker was established in Kilmarnock, Scotland, and has grown to become the world's leading blended Scotch brand. This specific reserve blend incorporates Clynelish single malt, whose distillery was historically supplied by water from the Hills of Clynemilton, famous for containing trace deposits of gold.
