Grey Goose was created in 1997 by American businessman Sidney Frank and legendary cellarmaster François Thibault in Cognac, France. Thibault applied his extensive cognac-making expertise to formulate a luxury vodka, selecting soft winter wheat from Picardy and natural spring water from Gensac-la-Pallue.
