The story behind it
Founded in 1895 by Edoardo and Angela Seghesio in the Alexander Valley, the winery became a pioneer of Zinfandel and Petite Sirah in Sonoma County. For over a century, the Seghesio family has farmed some of the oldest active vineyards in North America, championing traditional estate-grown heritage clones.
The Home Ranch vineyard was first planted in 1895 by Italian immigrant Edoardo Seghesio. This historical property in Northern Sonoma remains the cornerstone of the family's winemaking heritage, celebrated for preserving ancient vines.
