The maker
Little Trees was founded in 1952 by Julius Sämann in Watertown, New York, after a milk truck driver complained about the smell of spilled milk. Sämann, a chemist who had studied alpine pine aromas in Canada, developed the iconic tree-shaped paper air freshener to solve the problem.
