The story behind it
Founded in 2011 by college friends Ross Brockman and Tyler Mosher in Maine, the operation later relocated to East Boston to expand production. Their commitment to keeping things unfiltered and real has grown Downeast into one of the most prominent craft cider brands in the United States.
Downeast Cider House was born out of a desire to create a high-quality, unfiltered cider using only fresh-pressed local apples. By avoiding artificial concentrates and heavy filtration, the brewery retains a cloudy, authentic appearance and maximum fruit flavor.
