The story behind it
Founded by former rock band manager Charles Smith in 2006, the winery was born in Walla Walla, Washington with a vision to create exceptional, single-varietal wines that are accessible and instantly recognizable. Kung Fu Girl was famously conceived while Charles was eating takeout Chinese food and watching a martial arts movie, sparking the idea for a killer white wine built for spicy cuisine.
Sourced from the cool-climate vineyards of Washington State's Columbia Valley, where ancient volcanic soils and dramatic day-to-night temperature swings preserve the grape's natural acidity. The winemaking process utilizes cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks to retain the pure, primary fruit characteristics of the Riesling grape.
