Introduced in 1932 by Mars, Incorporated, 3 Musketeers originally contained three individual pieces of candy themed in chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla flavors. When war-time rationing made strawberry and vanilla too expensive, the bar transitioned to its famous all-chocolate whipped nougat center.
