Founded in 2017 by Fawn Weaver, the brand honors Nathan 'Nearest' Green, the first known African-American master distiller who taught Jack Daniel how to make whiskey. Crafted using the traditional Lincoln County Process, this whiskey is filtered through sugar maple charcoal before aging. The production takes place at the Nearest Green Distillery in Shelbyville, Tennessee, utilizing custom-designed column and pot stills.
