The story behind it
Miller Brewing Company was founded in 1855 by German immigrant Frederick Miller in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, after purchasing the Plank Road Brewery. His dedication to quality ingredients and traditional German brewing techniques paved the way for generations of brewing excellence, culminative in the landmark release of the nation's first successful light lager.
Developed in 1975, Miller Lite created the light beer category by perfecting a brewing process that maximizes flavor while keeping calories low. It is brewed using pure water, malted barley, corn syrup, and Galena and Mt. Hood hops at our historic brewery.
