The story behind it

The maker

Founded in 1715 by Jean Martell along the banks of the Charente River, Martell is legendary for pioneering the unique style of Cognac. For over three centuries, the house has passed down a passion for crafting precise, elegant spirits that define French luxury.

How it is made

Crafted by the oldest of the great Cognac houses using a double-distillation of clear wines on lees. The spirit is aged exclusively in fine-grain French oak barrels to impart delicate woody and spicy characteristics.
