The story behind it
Lagunitas Brewing Company was founded in 1993 by Tony Magee in Lagunitas, California, before quickly outgrowing the space and moving to Petaluma. Famous for their irreverent attitude and hop-forward brewing styles, they have grown to become one of the most recognized names in the American craft beer revolution.
Born in the spirit of brewing experimentation, this big, hop-heavy ale was designed to push the boundaries of what a single hop varietal can achieve. The brewery utilizes advanced dry-hopping techniques in their Petaluma brewhouse to maximize the expressive essential oils of the Citra hop.
