The story behind it
Gnarly Head was launched in 2004 by DFV Wines, a family-owned wine company with roots in California winemaking dating back to 1924. The brand was inspired by the ancient, free-standing head-trained vines found in Lodi, which produce exceptionally bold and concentrated fruit.
Crafted from select vineyards in California's Lodi region, where warm days and cool night breezes from the Delta create ideal growing conditions. The wine is aged with French and American oak to enhance its structure and impart sweet vanilla elements.
