Gnarly Head was launched in 2004 by DFV Wines when winemakers set out to make a robust zinfandel from Lodi's historic, gnarled old vines. Inspired by these free-standing bush vines, the brand expanded its portfolio to create a range of bold, structured wines with an rebellious spirit.
Crafted by Gnarly Head Wines in Lodi, California, this blend is anchored by old vine Petite Sirah which thrives in the sandy soils of the region. The grapes are selected from select family-owned vineyards and aged with French and American oak to enhance the wine's powerful structure.
