The story behind it
Founders Brewing Company was established in 1997 by Mike Stevens and Dave Engbers in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Emerging from early financial struggles, they adopted a philosophy of brewing 'dirty bastard' beers that they wanted to drink, eventually becoming one of America's most highly decorated craft breweries.
Brewed in Grand Rapids, this traditional German-style Marzen is crafted with imported Munich and Vienna malts to build its characteristic depth. It honors centuries-old Bavarian brewing traditions using a meticulous cold-fermentation process.
