The original Trappist Dubbel with rich fruit and spice
This classic Belgian Dubbel pours a deep copper color with a rich, creamy head, releasing aromas of dark fruit, apricot, and subtle nutmeg. On the palate, a delicate sweetness of caramel and ripe stone fruits is balanced by a dry, pleasantly bitter finish.

Founded in 1850 by Trappist monks of Westvleteren, Scourmont Abbey established its brewery in Chimay, Belgium, to support the monastery and local community. Today, the brewing process remains entirely under the control of the monastic community, with much of the revenue still dedicated to social aid and charitable works.
Brewed within the walls of Scourmont Abbey, this iconic Trappist Dubbel represents the oldest of the Chimay beers. The recipe was first perfected by the monastic community in 1862, maintaining strict Trappist standards of authenticity and quality.
