The story behind it

The maker

Brooklyn Brewery was founded in 1988 by Steve Hindy and Tom Potter in Brooklyn, New York, aiming to bring flavorful, craft brewing back to a borough once filled with historic breweries. Led for decades by legendary Brewmaster Garrett Oliver, the brewery has become a global ambassador of American craft beer culture.

How it is made

Brewed using a blend of three roasted malts and five specialty malts, this beer was designed as a modern tribute to the historic Russian Imperial Stouts beloved by Catherine the Great. It undergoes a long conditioning period to fully harmonize its high alcohol content and complex malt bill.
