The story behind it
Banfi was founded in 1978 by Italian-American brothers John and Harry Mariani with the goal of creating a state-of-the-art winery in Montalcino. Through pioneering clonal research of the Sangiovese grape and sustainable vineyard practices, the estate became a global ambassador for premium Tuscan wines.
Crafted in the heart of Tuscany, this classic wine is produced at the Banfi winery & vineyard under strict DOCG regulations. The Sangiovese grapes are carefully selected and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel before aging in traditional oak casks.
