The story behind it

The maker

Privatbrauerei Ayinger was founded in 1878 by Johann Liebhard in Aying, Germany, a small village located just south of Munich. To this day, the brewery remains family-owned and operated, celebrated globally for its unwavering commitment to classic German beer styles and regional brewing traditions.

How it is made

Brewed in accordance with the German Purity Law of 1516, this lager represents the pinnacle of traditional Bavarian festival brewing. The Ayinger brewhouse employs a classic double-decoction mash process using locally grown barley and Hallertau hops to achieve its legendary depth.
