The story behind it

The maker

Founded by Radhakrishna Jagdale in 1948, Amrut initially produced local spirits before pioneering the Indian single malt category in the 21st century. The brand gained global fame when whisky connoisseurs recognized its world-class quality, putting Indian whisky on the international map.

How it is made

Amrut is distilled at the Amrut distillery & rickhouse in Bangalore, located 3,000 feet above sea level. This high-altitude tropical climate accelerates the wood interaction, causing the whisky to mature much faster than in Scotland.
