Abita Brewing Company was founded in 1986 by local homebrewers Jim Patton and Rush Cumming in the piney woods of Abita Springs, Louisiana. As the state's oldest craft brewery, they have grown from a small local favorite to a nationally recognized pioneer of Southern craft brewing.
This unique brew is crafted at the Abita brewery in Abita Springs using local roasted Louisiana pecans. The brewhouse relies on the pristine waters of the Abita Artesian Springs to bring out the subtle nuttiness of this regional classic.
