The maker
Wild Turkey was founded in 1940 after distillery executive Thomas McCarthy brought some warehouse samples on a wild turkey hunting trip. Master Distiller Jimmy Russell and his son Eddie Russell have spent decades maintaining the brand's uncompromising standards in Lawrenceburg. Today, they remain one of the most respected multi-generational distilling families in American whiskey history.
