The story behind it

The maker

Founded in Pontassieve by cousins Ilario and Leopoldo Ruffino in 1877, the winery quickly became a symbol of quality Tuscan winemaking. Their dedication earned them a reputation as the official supplier to the Italian Royal Family in the late 19th century.

How it is made

Crafted from vineyards in the Chianti Superiore DOCG region, this wine undergoes meticulous temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel. It is aged in Slavonian oak casks to add structural complexity while preserving its bright, fruit-forward Tuscan character.
