The story behind it
Riff is a project created by the historic Alois Lageder winery, a pioneer of biodynamic winegrowing in Alto Adige founded in 1824. The Lageder family developed this line to highlight the expressive, crisp potential of Pinot Grigio grown in certified organic vineyards across northeastern Italy.
Crafted in the foothills of the Alps, the grapes are sourced from selected organic vineyards in the Veneto region. The name Riff, meaning reef in German, refers to the fossilized marine life in the limestone soils that lend the wine its signature minerality.
