Bodegas Ateca was founded in 2005 by the Gil family of Gil Family Estates, a historic Spanish winemaking family dedicated to showcasing indigenous varietals. Their goal with Honoro Vera was to craft highly expressive, fruit-driven, and accessible wines that capture the authentic terroir of old Spanish vineyards.
Crafted by Bodegas Ateca in the high-altitude, rocky slate soils of the Calatayud region in Aragon. The winery utilizes dry-farmed, old-vine Garnacha grapes to deliver exceptional concentration, structural complexity, and fresh acidity.
