The maker
Founded in 1765 by Irish officer Richard Hennessy, the maison of Hennessy has crafted world-class Cognac for over two and a half centuries in Cognac, France. The brand became famous for inventing the 'Very Special' quality designation, securing its historic status as a global pioneer in luxury spirits.
How it is made
Distilled from Ugni Blanc grapes in the Charente region, this Cognac is aged in French Limousin oak casks to develop its signature complexity. The final blend represents a selection of up to forty different eaux-de-vie selected for their lively character.
