Harpoon Brewery was founded in Boston in 1986 by Dan Kenary, Rich Doyle, and George Ligeti, who shared a love of great beer and a vision to bring quality brewing back to New England. In 2014, the company transitioned to an employee-owned model, ensuring that the passion of its workers directly drives every recipe.
First brewed in 1993, this iconic offering helped define the New England style of IPA, focusing on balance rather than tongue-numbing bitterness. It is crafted in small batches at a historic employee-owned brewery using traditional brewing techniques.
