The story behind it

The maker

Founded in 1972 by David Stare, Dry Creek Vineyard is an iconic family-owned winery in Sonoma County. This pioneering estate was instrumental in establishing the Dry Creek Valley appellation and is championing classic, terroir-driven California wines.

How it is made

Dry Creek Vineyard was the first winery to plant Sauvignon Blanc in the Dry Creek Valley AVA of Sonoma County. Modeled after the traditional Loire Valley style, they adopted the term Fumé Blanc to highlight its dry, flinty character.
