The story behind it
Founded in 1873 by German immigrant Adolph Coors, the brewery was established at the base of the Rocky Mountains to utilize the pure mountain spring water. During the late 1800s, local miners threw banquets in the Golden Valley, and because Coors was their beer of choice, they affectionately dubbed it 'Banquet'.
Deep in the heart of Golden, Colorado, Coors Banquet is brewed using classic Moravian barley and native water. The legendary recipe has been crafted in the same facility using traditional copper kettles since the 19th century.
