The story behind it
Château de Birot dates back to the 18th century, with its grand chartreuse-style manor house still standing today. It was acquired by the Fournier family in 1989 and later purchased in 2014 by the New Century Tourism Group, who have preserved its traditional winemaking heritage.
Château de Birot is a historic winery & vineyard estate overlooking the Garonne River in Cadillac. The terroir benefits from clay-limestone soils that provide superb drainage and complexity to the vines.
