The story behind it
Originally founded in 1995 at the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field, Blue Moon was created by Keith Villa with the goal of crafting Belgian-style beers with an approachable twist. It quickly became famous for its signature Belgian White Belgian-Style Wheat Ale served with an orange slice.
Crafted at the Blue Moon experimental brewery in Denver, Colorado, Moon Haze won a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival for Best Juicy or Hazy Pale Ale. The brewing team sought to create a bold, tropical-forward expression using authentic citrus peels to highlight their signatures.
